Your privacy
Updated 8 October 2026
Reconstruct helps you practise explaining concepts and revisit your understanding over time. This page explains the data used by the current version of the app.
Your Google account
Google sign-in shares your account identifier, email address, and basic profile information, such as your name and profile picture, with Supabase, our authentication provider. We use this information to create your account, display your name and email, and connect you to your own learning history. Reconstruct does not request access to your Gmail, Google Drive, contacts, or calendar, and never receives your Google password.
Your learning history
When you save a practice session, we store its concept, prompts, explanations, hints used, personal notes, input mode, dates, and duration. We also store the interests you choose. These records are associated with your account and used to display your map, history, and suggested reviews. We also save assessment feedback, the model and rubric used, and suggested next routes. Starting a session saves its topic and questions; completed explanations join your map after assessment. Other learners cannot access your records through the app.
Voice input
Voice input starts when you select the microphone button. Your browser may send audio to its speech recognition provider under that provider’s privacy practices. Reconstruct stores the edited text when you save a session; it does not store audio recordings. You can always type instead.
Storage and service providers
Supabase handles accounts and authentication. Sites and Cloudflare host the app and store learning records. These providers process data needed to operate the service and may keep security and operational logs, such as IP addresses and request timestamps. Essential cookies maintain your sign-in session. Reconstruct does not include advertising trackers or sell your account or learning data.
AI assessment
When you choose “Assess and save”, your topic, practice questions, explanations, input mode, and hint-use information are sent to OpenAI to assess the explanation and suggest further practice. Reference material is included when available. Your personal note and Google account details are not included in that assessment request. Feedback and suggested routes are saved with your learning history. AI feedback can be mistaken and is an assessment of that attempt, not proof of mastery. OpenAI processes requests under its API data practices; this app requests that responses are not stored for retrieval through the API.
Keeping and deleting your data
Account details and saved learning records are retained so you can return to your history; this version has no automatic expiry. You can request a copy, correction, or deletion of your data by contacting roosinfomail@gmail.com from your account email. Signing out or removing Google access does not by itself delete saved records. Provider backups and security logs may be retained according to their own retention practices.
